We're expanding our support crew and in an effort to better serve you we needed a better email support method. We're experiencing technical difficulties regarding sending out system mails for transaction receipts and account login emails. Our registrar is aware of the problem and is working on resolving the issue. Transaction receipts are still available under Transaction History so once the email system is back up as it should you can use the re-send email option. If you need your login details emailed to you please contact us at domainsupport@wsmdomains.com and we can get them sent to you. We're sorry for the trouble!

Credit Card not approved errors. We're currently experiencing problems processing some credit cards. If you receive a 'credit card not approved' error please let us know. Our Registrar has recently made some changes to their anti-fraud suite that are resulting in customers who have successfully submitted orders in the past to now receive processing errors. If you're not able to save a card to file or you cannot order or renew a domain with your saved card please call us so that we can renew with you over the phone while we're working with our registrar to resolve this issue. We're very sorry for the trouble this may cause you.

.ORG Maintenance Window Scheduled
The .ORG Registry has scheduled a 4 hour Maintenance Window for Saturday Feb. 11, 2012 between 3 PM and 7 PM EST. During this window it may not be possible to register, manage or renew your .org domain names.

It has come to our attention that the email forwarding service is automatically checked during the check out process in the pricing page. Please uncheck this box for your domain orders and renewals if you do not want it enabled. We are performing a system update to remove and correct this. As a result you may see In Progress entries regarding email forwarding deletion displayed at the top of your account. Please do not panic. We're simply going through and removing the default option for customers who have not ordered and enabled forwards. We expect this to be done within 48 hours. Afterwards email forwarding service will display as an option but will not be checked by default. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

Renewal Reminder Schedule Change:

We have received many requests from customers asking if we could stop sending out the 90 day renewal reminder notifications. We know many of you are receiving reminders from us quite frequently and in an effort to help reduce the amount of email you receive we have decided to eliminate the 90 day renewal reminders. Going forward you'll receive the 60 day, 30 day, 5 day and if not renewed the post 10 day expiry reminders.

Payment Method Change in new Control Panel:
Also, we have come to the realization that once our migration is complete and we're all on the new registration and management system we will no longer be able to accept check and PayPal payments. All payments must be made with a credit card or debit card. We do not want to leave anyone behind. If you need to pay by check, please let us know! We can help you find a solution. For PayPal users, the PayPal debit card can be used we just won't be able to submit domain orders and renewals from payments sent to our paypal address. This payment method change will be in effect apon migration completion.

We greatly apologize for any inconvenience this payment method change may cause you.

Migration Date Update: We'll be performing beta testing the week of January 9th and our Domain and DNS Service migration date is scheduled for the week of January 23rd. It will be announced a head of time but we'll be performing a domain migration, and we'll have a maintenance window of 2 to 3 days. We will also be migrating DNS service to a new platform, and during the maintenance window no changes can be made to name servers or dns zone files. It was our desire to be all set up with the new system before the end of the year but we don't want to rush things before the holiday season.

WHAT SHOULD CUSTOMERS DO TO ENSURE A SMOOTH TRANSITION?

We suggest you look at your domain renewal list, take note of the domains you have in there and make sure you have valid contact information. Need help? Contact us.

Domain profiles will be migrated based on domains bundled in the same account and a master account contact will be based on the Organization Contact. We suggest you use the SAME email address for the organization contact for all domains within your account just like you do for your administrative contact.You'll be able to update the master contact information and all domain contacts in your new control panel.

Also, NEW passwords will be assigned for your profiles and this new password email will be sent to your organization contact email address. Make sure you have a valid email address! We cannot stress this enough. Usernames will remain the same. You'll be able to change passwords in the new control panel.

What should customers do to prepare?

Take inventory of your domain list. Do you have all of your domains in one account together or spread across multiple profiles? We'll be migrating domains based on profiles. It is important you know what domains you have in each account. Look at your domain renewal list.

Do you know your username and password? If you don't, now is the time to send the login details to yourself. Is your email address invalid, get it updated! We can help.

It is critical you have valid whois contact information. It would be a shame if we made an acount with outdated info and you don't receive important information from us.

We're so excited for this change. We're going to be able to provide many services that you have been asking for, and that we've wanted to be able to provide for a long time. Stay tuned for more!
